A new system designed to help find missing people is also being used to track stolen cars. Tracefast uses a CD-ROM card containing all the relevant information about a person or vehicle so that it can be given to the police immediately after they"ve gone missing. Customers simply fill in an online form, which is then transferred to the card, complete with pictures. "The rapid reporting of information is essential in any investigation," said a police spokesman.
