A survey conducted by mail order company Carparts-direct.co.uk suggested 28 per cent of motorists had suffered some kind of vandalism to their vehicle in the last three years. Most suffered scratches to paintwork while parked, a snapped aerial or dented body panel while some suffered major damage causing thousands of pounds worth of repairs. Only 32% of the victims questioned reported the incident to the police.

Auto Express has revealed before that four-wheel-drive models will be part of the firm"s line-up by the end of this year - and the mud-plugger, based on the 156, is right on schedule.
Don"t be fooled by this model"s "mule" bodywork though, as the final production car will closely resemble the Kamal concept first seen at the Geneva Motor Show last year. The car is seen as essential to spearhead Alfa"s return to the lucrative US market.
Buyers will have the choice of three engines, with entry-level versions equipped with a 165bhp 2.0-litre JTS unit. The sporting flagship will have a 250bhp 3.2-litre V6, and for those who value economy, a 150bhp 2.4-litre JTD diesel will also be offered.
