AutoRoute 2007 holds the edge over standalone systems and online route finders. Not only can it be used in the car with a GPS aerial (÷£99.99 including the software), or at a wire÷less Internet ‘hot spot’ location, but you can also rig it up at home or in the office to plan routes.
With the increased processing power and memory of a laptop PC, there’s no need to cut back on the database. No fewer than 37 countries are covered, with more than 3.9 million miles of roads and an amazing 747,000 points of interest, including hotels, restaurants, cash machines and scenic routes.
You’ll need a PC with a Pentium 2 or higher processor, and if you are working online, you can add extra business locations to the standard points of interest.
There’s also more information en route, with the 2007 version including new features such as estimated time of arrival, drive time and automatic magnification of junctions.
