In wind tunnel tests...

In wind tunnel tests, the new model"s 2.6-litre V8 engine, coupled with its aerodynamic styling, created more downforce than its weight. Admittedly, the mathematical formula involved means the car would have to be travelling at its maximum speed of 170mph to achieve the feat, although the calculations do take into account the driver"s weight and a full tank of fuel.

Check out the new self-inflating traffic cone that you can store in your car! Designed as a road safety aid for drivers who break down at night, the Emergency Traffic Cone is more portable than a traditional warning triangle and can even be wedged into the corner of a glovebox when not in use.

We wish to clarify that...

We wish to clarify that our driving school was completely unconnected to (and should therefore not be confused with) either the Easylearn Driving School run by Kevin Watson of Consett, Co Durham, or the Easy Learn School of Motoring run by Matthew Warburton of Retford, Nottinghamshire (or indeed any other driving schools with a similar name).

Both are filled with...

Both are filled with xenon gas, which burns more efficiently (and whiter) than Halogen bulbs of the past, contributing to an increased beam range without the need to uprate the bulb wattage. PowerPlus offers 50 per cent more light and is available in H1, H4 and H7 fitments. PowerBlue delivers up to 30 per cent more light than a standard bulb whilst also giving a stylish blue tint similar to that found with the HID "Xenon" system. Also available in H1, H4 and H7. To celebrate the launch, the company"s offering a "buy one get one free deal", so two cars can be upgraded for the price of one. Shipment is free and the company"s bundling in a free pair of Philips Ultra Blue sidelight bubs, which retail at ÷£9.95 and fit 99 per cent of cars.

We tried both bulbs on a Vauxhall Corsa. PowerBlue offers a blue-white light and was preferred by the owner for its crispness and "modern" look. PowerPlus offered the greater output, however. Both are significant products, well made and, subjectively at least, compare favourably with the Philips and Osram Plus 30 and 50 products (which the company also stocks).
