Having competed at junior levels in the past, the team is now gearing up for its WRC debut later this year.

In readiness for a full 2008 season, Suzuki will debut its new SX4 WRC (right) in the Rally of France on Corsica in mid-October, and then contest the season-ending Wales Rally GB in November. After initial preparations in Japan, the SX4 has just completed its first European test on gravel tracks in southern France. “The car is developing as we had hoped,” said senior manager Toshihiro Suzuki.
