Honda third driver Anthony Davidson is near to sealing a deal for a seat alongside Takuma Sato in the Super Aguri squad.
If the move goes ahead, he’ll compete alongside David Coulthard, Jenson Button and probably Lewis Hamilton. It’s likely Honda-powered Super Aguri will race a developed version of the Japanese-owned squad’s 2006 RA106 next season. Super Aguri is keen to use Davidson because he’s got extensive experience of the car, as he helped develop it. Honda team boss Nick Fry said: “Anthony has put in an enormous amount of effort over the past few seasons.” Ex-Red Bull racer Christian Klien is in line to take Davidson’s testing seat.
