It was a case of misery...
It was a case of misery to millionaire for two pensioners, after they sold their classic car collection following a spate of thefts from their museum. The Sharpe brothers of Rayleigh, Essex - both in their 70s - have bought rare vehicles since the Fifties. But they contacted Christie"s auction house after several of their 200-strong collection were stolen. Among the rarities sold was a 1914 fire engine, a 90-year-old bus and a 1902 Ford. This was valued at í‚á£15,000, but fetched í‚á£140,000! In all, the sale netted the pensioners a cool í‚á£3million.
