The Cobra spits again!...

The Cobra spits again! Troubled sports car maker AC has bounced back to build a new version of its Sixties roadster.

The decision confirms...

The decision confirms comments made by Impreza chief engineer, Hiroshi Mori, who told Auto Express that the next-generation car "might take a new design direction, and could be smaller". So why have designers turned their back on saloons? The new car will be smaller, lighter and cheaper to produce than the four-door, and should have better handling, thanks to its short wheelbase and stiffer body.

It"s nip-and-tuck time...

It"s nip-and-tuck time for the Mazda 6! These are the first images of Japanese-specification versions of the company"s Ford Mondeo rivalling family car.

Getting a mild restyling, new direct-injection 2.0-litre petrol engine, suspension changes and a revised cabin, they preview UK models which will arrive in showrooms next year.

On the outside, the 6 adopts the latest example of Mazda"s family "face" with a swooping front grille ð€“ inspired by the firm"s "flow" design language ð€“ while other changes include redesigned bumpers with extra air intakes, fresh alloys and new tailights.

On the inside, there"s a new glossy, piano-black finish for the centre console, some extra chrome trim for the climate control dials, gear lever and door handles.

Under the bonnet, the 6 gets the same direct injection 2.0-litre petrol engine as the recently revised Mazda 5 MPV which will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Other updates include revised power steering and suspension settings to improve handling and ride comfort.
