They may have half the number of wheels, but motorcycles are 16 times more polluting than cars, according to a new study. Boffins at the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Material Testing and Research in Díƒá¼bendorf found bikes emit far more noxious hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide than cars. They say this is overlooked as bikes aren"t the primary mode of transport in the developed world.

It"s the maximum Micra! Nissan has fitted a tuned version of the 3.5-litre V6 from the 350Z coup탩 to its supermini. Called the Micra 350SR, the car also features a special bodykit.

The rear seats have been removed to make way for the mid-mounted 310bhp engine, mated to a close-ratio six-speed manual gearbox which drives the rear wheels. Nissan claims a 0-60mph sprint time of less than five seconds and a 150mph top speed.
