In his annual speech to journalists in Japan, the firm"s President, Takeo Fukui, announced the hi-tech "posture control" systems that help Asimo keep its balance will soon be fitted to the company"s cars and motorcycles to improve safety, performance and ride comfort. The technology is likely to be introduced on Honda"s sporting and luxury models first, probably from 2008. But vehicles across the range - including cars such as the Civic and Jazz - are also expected to benefit.

Developed by American tuner Mallett Cars and Dutch designer Ugur Sahin, the USD Mallett Z03 gets a stylish new carbon fibre body that can be fitted to either of Chevyò€™s Z06 or C6 models.
Power is pushed from 505bhp to a mighty 999bhp by adding twin turbos to Chevyò€™s 7.0-litre V8. For each of the 100 cars produced, the carbon fibre body upgrade will cost Ò£47,000, while a further Ò£24,000 premium is placed on the twin turbos ò€“ all of which will be paid on top of the donor Corvette price.
