ONE of the world’s youngest car companies has got a new badge! Chinese maker Geely, which was set up in 1997, has replaced its old logo with this swirling design (below) as part of a competition held to help modernise the firm’s appearance.
Picked from 27,000 submissions, the badge won its creator Yue Xian De a top prize of ÷£200,000. It is set to grace its first car early next year, when the marque is also due to export to the US. And while there are currently no official plans to bring Geelys to the UK, the brand has an ambitious launch strategy and has already hinted that it aims to sell its MR Merrie family hatch here.
