First and foremost...

First and foremost, we want to know how your car performs, if it is reliable or prone to breakdowns, if it"s good to drive - in fact, detail of your ownership experience. But in addition, for 2006 we have given our survey a revamp to reflect the changing face of Britain"s roads, delving deeper into the issues that matter to you.

The revised model gets...

The revised model gets a new mesh grille and sportier, low-slung front and rear bumpers designed to make it appear less tall. It also has LED rear lamps to give a more modern finish, and there"s a choice of four new paint options. Inside, the Japanese firm has redesigned the entire dashboard and brightened up the trim with new colour schemes. A leather steering wheel has been added, and there"s also an op-tional sat-nav screen. To keep up with the likes of Nissan"s Micra, a new smart card key system hooked up to the immobiliser has been fitted.

But at least O"Donnell"s...

But at least O"Donnell"s brutal assertion that the money the beleaguered quartet are paying themselves is "disgusting" should ensure him a place of his own in the book of Greatest Motoring Quotations. (I"ll compile it if somebody will publish it!). Unacceptable! Disgusting! Is this appropriate language from the boss of BMW"s substantial UK operation when referring to a rival firm which also happens to be a former member of the Bavarian company"s extended family? If these words of criticism came from a vulnerable, poorly paid MG Rover employee, I think they"d carry considerable weight.

Official pics of Hyundai"s...

Official pics of Hyundai"s VW Passat rival, the Sonata, have been leaked onto Korean car forums. And it"s a stunner!

The leaked pics show the U.S and Asian market model of the car but reports suggest that the ix40, a European version of the Sonata, will not be wholly different apart from the two-tier grille seen on the Tucson replacing the bolder, chrome grille shown in the pictures.

Inside the cabin, two deep set gauges and a colour screen on the driver"s display hint at high quality build materials and a thoroughly modern interior. Gear-shifters mounted behind the steering wheel show that the Sonata will be available with a semi-automatic, paddle-shift gear-box. Mated to this semi-auto changer will most likely be four-cylinder and V6 petrol units along with a 2.0-litre diesel powerplant with 185hp.

The official debut of the Sonata is expected before the end of the year, with sales expected to start in all markets during the first half of 2010.
