Our gadget or gimmick test (Issue 957) was fascinating stuff, but occasionally I wonder if manufacturers are having a laugh at our expense with some of the nonsense they cram into cars these days.

You know the kind of stuff I mean. Seatbelt warning alerts that remind you of discarded Altern-8 album tracks. Centre console information screens so complicated that Pacman would pull a sicky at the thought of having to work his way round them. All the car makers do it, but are they supplying us with what we want and deserve or just cynically adding gloss to purely average products? Join in the debate and let us know...
