The news follows confirmation...

The news follows confirmation that, after three successful seasons, Auto Express’ parent firm Dennis Publishing has renewed its media partnership with the all-action Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.

“It seems utterly appropriate that Britain’s biggest-selling weekly motoring magazine should be supporting the country’s most popular race series,” said group publishing director Phil Parker. “This special partnership allows us to bring the touring car series alive for our readers, as well as giving them many opportunities to join in its success with ticket offers, competitions and a host of other initiatives.”

BTCC boss Alan Gow is equally enthusiastic to have Dennis back on board for what promises to be yet another thrilling 30-round championship for the tin-top tusslers.

“Dennis’ major magazine and online titles – Auto Express, Evo and Maxim – introduce the BTCC to a much wider and more diverse audience than we could ever hope to reach through our own resources,” explained Gow. “The support of these titles has been absolutely fantastic over the past three years, and has been one of the driving forces behind the BTCC’s increasing popularity.”

More than 33,000 fans watched the climax to last year’s championship at Silverstone – although a 2007 event at the Northamptonshire venue has yet to be agreed.

But with an ever-growing number of teams and drivers already gearing up for the season, the scene is set for yet more classic bumper-to-bumper confrontations. The action kicks off at Brands Hatch on Sunday 1 April.
