To assemble a permanent...

To assemble a permanent structure would take months, but 12 men from Manchester-based company Another Level can build you a mobile version with spaces for eight to 800 vehicles in just a matter of days.

It"s the brainchild of Frank Rothwell, who decided something needed to be done after reading about a surgeon who"d spent nearly an hour trying to find a parking space outside a hospital where he was due to carry out an operation. Now, following an extensive development process involving structural engineers, insurance risk assessors and transport consultants, the concept has become reality.

Frank explained: "The galvanised steel construction sits over existing car parks. The modular design of the platform decks allows for any size to be assembled, and it is only limited by the dimensions of each site."
