While rumours of hybrid...

While rumours of hybrid Porsche"s and Ferrari"s continue to circulate, Russia has already made it"s first step into the hybrid supercar market.

Named the Marussia B1, it will be making its international debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. Sporting an electric motor coupled with a 240hp, 3.5-litre engine, the Russian firm expects a 0-60mph dash of around five seconds for the new car.

A host of hi-tech gadgets including Bluetooth, GPS, a 320GB hard drive and plenty of video screens round off a modern looking interior that helps to justify the 100,000eur price tag (about ÷£90,000).

Also on show at the Marussia stand will be a brand new car named the B2 which has been teased in photos during the run up to Frankfurt. The photo doesn"t reveal much but the styling is reported to be jet-fighter inspired.

Expect more details to be released as the Motor Show gets under way in the next couple of days.
