Overstated bhp figures look set to cost Hyundai í‚á£16million in compensation. Customers will receive payouts in the form of debit cards and service vouchers. The Korean firm overstated power ratings on 1.3million US vehicles between 1992 and 2003. Meanwhile, it is offering three years"/30,000 miles" free servicing on all new Getz, Matrix and Trajet models bought between July and September.

Only in Britain would...

Only in Britain would a high-profile, ruling politician dare to declare war on cars, drivers and passengers on the eve of the nation"s prestigious and vitally important Motor Show. When America"s big auto exhibition is staged in Detroit, successive mayors of that city - regardless of their political colours - virtually queue up at the door in the biting cold, desperate to show their enthusiastic support for motor industry products and jobs. And it"s a similar story in other big motor show cities, where politicians display solidarity with the vehicle makers which provide employment, the workers who proudly make ever-improving cars, plus the consumers who buy them.

The new supercar will slot in between the F430 and the flagship 612 Scaglietti. They"ve also captured a more heavily disguised model out on a test drive.

While this little pink...

While this little pink stick doesnò€™t look like much, it claims to keep your glass and mirrors water, steam and glare-free. The new Formula Anti Glare is easy to use ò€“ just rub on and buff off ò€“ although for best results ours needed a couple of applications.

We found a little went a long way, and the firm recommends you re-use the cloth. Either way, it dispersed water easily. It also stopped the cabin of one test vehicle steaming up and appeared to keep the glass clean for longer.

The stick is especially handy for mirrors ò€“ you donò€™t need to wipe off the moisture that can collect on them overnight.

In fact, the only real drawback is the stale smell, but this disappears once you have applied it. Formula Anti Glare wonò€™t break the bank, either, especially as you can currently get four sticks for Ò£20 including postage.
